Established in 1999, Knight Freeman is a regional practice of Chartered Surveyors, providing valuations throughout the south east of England within the commercial property sector and which specialises in business concerns i.e. trading related valuations.

From its administrative head office in Maidstone, the firm acts as panel valuers for a wide range of clients, mainly in the lending sector, but also offers professional valuation advice in relation to accounting and legal matters.

The firm carries out over 600 valuations each year within the following property sectors:

  • Simon Knight BSc (Hons) MRICS - Director

    After graduating from Bristol Polytechnic in 1980, Simon qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1984. Throughout his career, Simon has worked in the southeast of England within the commercial property sector, moving from agency into the field of commercial property valuation, and is a specialist in trading related valuations for properties within the licensed, leisure and healthcare/educational markets.

    In 1999, Simon established Knight Freeman Chartered Surveyors and has been responsible for its subsequent development in producing appraisal and valuation reports, principally for lending purposes.

    Simon manages Knight Freeman’s head office in Maidstone, and is principally responsible for quality control in terms of appraisal and valuation reports.

  • Mark P. Davidson MRICS – Director

    Mark qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992. In the early part of his career, Mark specialised within the licensed property sector, working throughout southeast England, later developing his skills in the area of commercial property and appraisal reports.

    Mark joined Knight Freeman in 2007, as a director, since when he has been principally responsible for client development but remains personally involved with the preparation of appraisal and valuation reports.
